Our story

We named it for the part most companies skip.

Ray Delgado started Pool Soldiers in 2009 with one truck, a route of forty pools, and a rule that has not changed since: if you tell a homeowner you are coming Tuesday, you come Tuesday.

Anyone can dig a hole and pour concrete. The hard part of this business is everything after — returning the call, hitting the schedule, and standing behind the work six months later when the novelty has worn off. Most of the complaints we hear about other contractors are not about craftsmanship. They are about silence.

We keep crews small and routes tight, which means the person who quotes your job is usually the person you see on it. When something needs fixing, you are calling a company that already knows your pool, not a switchboard.

How we work

Three things we do not negotiate on.

Show up when we say

You get a day and an arrival window, and a phone call if anything changes. That alone puts us ahead of most of the trade.

Leave it cleaner than we found it

Drop cloths on the deck, tools off the walkway, and debris hauled out the same day. Your yard stays usable while we work.

Straight answers

If a repair buys you three more years, we say so. If a remodel is throwing money at a shell that is failing, we say that too.

The crew

The people who will actually be at your house.

Four of us run the office and the field. You will meet most of them before the job is finished.

Ray Delgado

Founder & General Contractor

Started Pool Soldiers in 2009 after twelve years running service routes for a Tampa builder. Still walks most build estimates personally.

Marisol Vega

Construction Manager

Owns the build calendar, permits, and inspections. If your project has a date on it, that date came from this desk.

Terrence Boyd

Service Manager

Oversees every weekly route and the techs who run them. Twenty years on Florida pools and very hard to surprise.

Dana Whitfield

Client Coordinator

The voice on the phone. Handles scheduling, follow-ups, and making sure no project ever goes quiet on you.

Licensing & credentials

Everything a Florida pool contractor should be able to hand you.

Ask any contractor for these before you sign. We keep current copies in the office and will send them with your proposal without being asked twice.

Milestones

Fifteen years, one county.

We have never opened a second market. Staying inside Pinellas is what makes same-week service possible.

Reviews

What homeowners say afterward.

They quoted us in March and had us swimming by the Fourth of July. The schedule they handed us on day one is the schedule we actually got.
Priya & Alan M.Palm Harbor · New pool build
Third company we tried for weekly service and the first one where the same person actually shows up. The water has been right for two years straight.
Chris D.Seminole · Weekly service
They talked us out of a full remodel and did resurfacing and tile instead. That saved us a lot of money they could have just as easily taken.
Denise R.Dunedin · Resurfacing
Our heater died two days before a family reunion. They had a new one in and running by the next afternoon. No drama about it.
Marcus T.Largo · Equipment repair

What to expect

From the first call to the final walkthrough.

Every project starts the same way: a conversation about what you want, a look at the pool and the property, and an honest read on what it will take. From there you get a written scope and price, a schedule, and a single point of contact who stays with the job to the end.

On builds and remodels we walk you through the finished work and show you how to run the equipment before we leave. On service accounts you get a note after every visit, so you always know what was done and what we are watching.
